Welcome to the UF Chapter of the American Holistic Medical Association.   We are a student-run chapter of the national organization, and an interest group of the Medical College Council.

We invite you to explore the holistic approach to medicine as you make your journey towards becoming a physician.  The UF Chapter of  the American Holistic Medical Association (AHMA) is here to expose you to aspects of this growing field that are relevant both to your future practice, and to your wellbeing as a medical student, including:

  • Classes in techniques such as Yoga and Tai Chi that can help you reduce stress and improve concentration, and that can help your future patients
  • Lectures on the latest developments in holistic nutrition, complementary and alternative therapies, given by practitioners who use holistic techniques to enhance their practice
  • A yearly Holistic Health Retreat to a secluded location, featuring intensive workshops with prominent physicians and scientists, delicious food, and outdoor activities

Use this site to find current information on AHMA activities and events, read articles on holistic medicine, and learn how to get involved.
